Seattle native Marcus Donner has been shooting pictures as a professional photographer for more than 20 years. Though based in Seattle, Washington, you never know where Marcus will be or what he'll be shooting next.
From the Dalai Lama fist-bumping Dave Matthews, to Death Cab for Cutie playing whirlyball, to volunteers releasing floating lanterns on the anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Marcus captures once-in-a-lifetime moments, emotions and personalities.
He loves what he does and doesn't stop until he's done it well. When he doesn't have a dSLR in his hand, you'll find him on set and location shooting video, documentary films and music videos.
Often you’ll find him teaching others how to do what he does through workshops and lectures. He also does specialized consulting for photo media relations of world class events.
Winner of the 2009 Sigma Delta Chi Award for Feature Photography (in a non-daily publication). Marcus received this national journalism award from the Society of Professional Journalists for photo feature shot for the Puget Sound Business Journal on Tod Leiweke, CEO of Vulcan Sports & Entertainment who manages both the Seattle Sounders FC and Seattle Seahawks.
